Your data, clearly explained

Privacy Policy

Synqq is a private relationship-memory service operated by Dianoia Tech and Rodrick Alcantara (“Synqq,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how the Synqq website and mobile applications handle personal data.

Effective and last updated: July 27, 2026

The short version
  • We collect the information needed to create your account and provide Synqq.
  • Private notes, tags, places, and reminders are visible only to you.
  • We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
  • You can update your information or permanently delete your account and data.

1. Information we collect

Account and authentication information

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive an account identifier, verified email address, and, when the provider makes it available, your name. We store your OAuth provider and provider-specific identifier so you can securely sign in. Apple may provide a private relay email address when you choose Hide My Email.

Profile and contact information

We collect the information you add to your Synqq profile, including your username, name, headline, company, short bio, profile photo, email address, phone number, website, and social profile. You control which optional contact methods are visible to other people.

Relationship information and user content

To provide the service, we store connection requests, accepted connections, blocks, and the private context you choose to add, such as where you met, events, relationship type, notes, follow-up dates, follow-up notes, and tags.

Photos, camera, and QR codes

If you choose a profile photo, the selected image is resized on your device and uploaded to Synqq. Camera access is used to scan Synqq QR codes; Synqq does not upload or retain the camera feed. Saving your QR code writes the image to your device only when you request it.

Device, request, and security information

Synqq and its infrastructure providers may process limited technical information such as IP address, browser or device type, request timestamps, and diagnostic or security metadata. We use this information to deliver the service, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and protect accounts. Synqq does not include third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

2. How we use information

We use personal data to:

  • authenticate you and maintain secure sessions;
  • create and display your profile and personal Synqq QR code;
  • send, receive, and manage connection requests;
  • store and search your private relationship context;
  • apply profile changes you request, including through the Synqq assistant;
  • provide support, diagnose errors, prevent fraud or abuse, and secure the service;
  • comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. Synqq AI and Apple Intelligence

On supported Apple devices, Synqq AI uses Apple Intelligence and Apple’s on-device Foundation Models. Synqq does not send your chat prompt to our servers or to a third-party cloud language model. When your request uses one of Synqq AI’s four supported tools—search, get profile details, update profile details, or get your QR—the app accesses or changes the relevant Synqq data through our service. Chat messages are not saved to your Synqq account.

4. When information is visible or shared

We disclose information only as needed in the following situations:

  • Other Synqq users. Your name, username, headline, company, profile photo, and contact methods you mark visible may appear on your shareable profile and to your connections. Your private notes, tags, places, and reminders are not shared with them.
  • Service providers. We use Convex for application data and backend functions, Cloudflare for web delivery and profile-image storage, and Google or Apple for authentication. They process data on our behalf or as part of the service you request.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or defend legal claims.
  • Business transfers. Information may transfer as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to this policy and applicable law.

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

5. Retention and deletion

We keep your account, profile, connections, and user content while your account is active or as needed to provide Synqq. Authentication sessions remain until they expire, you sign out, or the account is deleted.

Deleting your account removes the active account record and associated profile, authentication sessions, OAuth identity records, connection requests, connections, private notes, events, tags, blocks, and stored profile photo. Limited copies may remain temporarily in routine provider backups or security logs until those systems complete their normal deletion cycles. We may retain narrowly limited information longer when required by law or reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.

You can delete your account inside the mobile app or website from Profile → Delete account. You can also review the external Synqq account-deletion page.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Update your profile and visibility choices from your Synqq profile settings.
  • Remove individual connections or block another user.
  • Delete your profile photo or permanently delete your account.
  • Ask to access, correct, or delete personal data by contacting us. We may verify your identity before completing a request.
  • Control camera, photo-library, and notification permissions in device settings.

Depending on where you live, local law may provide additional rights such as portability, restriction, or objection. Contact us to exercise an applicable right.

7. Security

We use HTTPS encryption in transit, restricted authentication tokens, access controls, and other reasonable administrative and technical safeguards. Mobile authentication tokens are stored using the device’s secure storage. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International processing

Synqq and its providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers and handle information under this policy.

9. Children

Synqq is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal data without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can investigate and delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Synqq changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. We will provide additional notice inside the service when a change is material and applicable law requires it.
